Bent coin,now straightened

Found this coin bent very tightly in half.I heated it up with a lighter,then dipped in cold water and opened a little.Then repeated it until it was opened all the way.Im not sure what it is yet but think it a Edward 2nd which would make it from about 1307 to the mid 1300,s

Wow, that is a nice find. I sometimes wished I lived in england so I could have the chance to find stuff like this!
 
I know someone who went to england and found the same coin. . I never realized all of the stuff you can find over there. he also found an axe head from the bronze age and many roman coins. Nice find!!!:cool:
 
Nice find Simon! Great job on unfolding it too, I would of broke it I'm sure.
