Well, I moved, got sent around the world for work, took some vacation. But now I am back home detecting!

First hunt in Texas on an old farm lot, I think I found where someone lost their old GI coat. Wound up with 9 GI buttons in a single 3x3' spot. All shanks and backs intact! Found the even bigger gilt one a bit away. Even got my first 44 Henry brass (x2)! It's not my old colonial digging in VA, but I am sure it will pay off!

Nice! What part of Texas you hunting?
Outside the San Antonio area.

Thanks all for the comments. I had some other rifle brass (not in picture) that was head stamped for Frankford Arsenal 10 08 (date code Oct 1908). So hopefully I'll turn up some old coins on the next outing.
