Another tough copper and musket ball?

I got out today for a few hours at a 1670s farmhouse I have permission for. I found a large copper and what I think is a musket ball within a few feet of each other. I have learned from the other coppers (I'm still learning) that they are difficult to improve through cleaning. If any can identify this from the pictures, it would be appreciated. Also, if anyone can comment on the musket ball to verify that this is what it is. The diameter is 0.675" and appears to be lead. Is there any way to guess the age of something like this? Finally, the small (copper?) object I found has a little nub on the bottom. I have no idea what this might be.

The large copper looks oblong? I don’t think it’s a coin from the picture. Anyway, it’s unidentifiable as it is. So Andre’s pencil might help but steel wool might be your only help. As it is, it’s nothing.

I've found 1/2 dozen large coppers and this is definitely one. Most of them are rough from being in the ground almost 300 years. I have had varying (very little) success cleaning them up.

The poor east coast hunter has to deal with occasional LC's and coppers that are not candy apple clean & nice. Sometimes have to tolerate a "rough" one now and then, eh ? My heart just bleeds for you :sissyfight:
