I was back out west today! First, I tried the little park where I found the 1800 Large Cent last week. Hey, you can always hope lightning strikes twice. It didn't. So I moved to the high school site that's also a Civil War site. On the way, I stopped for brats and sauerkraut at a great little German restaurant.

Amazingly, I had my third multiple silver day. All three have been on this site. First, a silver dime and a ring. Then four silver quarters and a 1903 silver half dollar. And today, a silver dime from 1919 and a very pretty (if a little damaged) silver ring.

I also found a Civil War knapsack buckle (the triangle), an old style Wolf Scout slide, a few other things, and a fair amount of modern change.

Today, I got to watch someone throw discus and shotput while his dad told me all about the high school and the many events that happen there and where the crowds would have been. That kind of information is really valuable.

Another good day detecting.

I have to say, I'm really enjoying the XP Deus 2. I'm pretty much exclusively using Mode 3 - Sensitive Full Tones. I took the Legend out the other day to a different site, and I just didn't enjoy using it as much. I found lots of good stuff with it, but I like XP D2 better,

That is one honey of a spot you've found. Nice work and congrats!

Also, I have found at least three of those bronze Wolf head things and I have no idea what or how old they are. Do you know anything about them? My research hasn't been too fruitful

They are scout neckerchief slides. The Brits call the woggles. I raised three Eagle Scouts and I laugh every time I find one. Here is my running total.

Good Work, those XP Deus machines are a top notch performer for sure. And a multi silver day any time is awesome. Well done!
