Detecting started out slow with a crushed silver ring as my best find on Saturday.
Decided to change tactics Sunday and went to another area, detecting the towel line as the water was quiet and targets were few and far between. An hour in I finally hit a strong signal and out comes the HEAVY nugget style gold ring! Couldn't believe it at first but it's stamped 10k and has a local jewelers mark in it.Score!
Monday, riding the high a bit from the first gold ring find, I decided to hit another popular stretch of beach and run the wet sand. A couple hours in and not much to show for it I turn back but keep swinging and try to get down to where the waves are breaking on the slope. Sure enough I pull out a copper ring (not shown) and figure that was a good as it was going to get when 20 minutes or so later I swing over the gold wedding band...14k!
Already having a great couple days, Tuesday I go BACK to where I found the nugget style ring and start swinging higher in the low foot traffic areas figuring it would of been passed up by other detectorists and sure enough I pull out the silver Pandora bracelet and a complete surprise small 10k gold ring with horseshoe design!
Realized I had just found 3 gold rings in 3 days! Never done that before, new gold steak for me!
And Wednesday, to end the overall silver/gold finds run, I find a small silver homemade ring. 3 silvers and 3 golds made for an epic 5 day run.
Was wondering if this year would be good and so far it's looking great! Happy hunting all!
