Went to another old home site in rural Oklahoma. Just the rock foundation remains and can't be seen from any road including the dirt road you have to drive to enter the gate than through a pasture on private land. Was really hoping to find a coin to kind of get some kind of time frame. No coins but found this cool little thing I think is a brooch. Something is missing in the area of the square opening but the pin on back is still in pretty good shape. I soaked it in white vinegar and salt and it cleaned up pretty nice. Only had a couple hours so I plan to go back, would love to find a coin.

Very nice indeed. It probably had a ceramic tile of sorts in the middle. Is that brass? Well done.

nice, wonder what this broach held, pic, stone?
I really can't tell if it's brass or not. The metal has a glittery look to it.
It's really hard to say, I wish I knew.

I would look in the plug for the stone or tile that is missing. It's got to be close by.
