    Depth threshold?

Hi, new to the forum. Is there a metaldetector model that allows to set a threshold on the depth of the incoming signal and filter out the strongest (nearest) one? I'd like to be able to only hear deepest targets (obviously without ID) without being annoyed with the shallowest.

Equinox threshold is your friend - use it

This has probably been posted before or variations. But it is worth repeating. On your Equinox increase your threshold so you can hear it. It will tell you the amount of iron and other ferrous or non-ferrous targets under your coil. For instance I was hunting a trail along the river recently...

Equinox 800 threshold using in park and field question?

on the Equinox 800 does anyone use a threshold pitch in park or field to help id targets or rejected targets? As for me, I don't have a clue if this is any benefit or not. I know in gold it defaults to a threshold pitch and volume.

    equinox 800 threshold question

I hunt in the park and field modes 90% of the time and the rest beach at a large inland lake. I don't hunt for gold nuggets. I have never adjusted the threshold setting. Amy I missing something here that I should know about changing the threshhold setting in park and field modes?

    Gain and threshold?

I recently viewed a post of someone who found a ring using the F5 at a park. He said he ran his gain between 30-50. Why run the gain 30-50? I always thought you would run it as high as you could without too much chatter. Doesn't gain directly relate to depth? I use the F5. I started in April and...
