After spending several more hours using version 1.0, I decided to revert back to .71. Mainly because I found more dislikes than likes in 1.0. To me, it seems to be a little more sparky on small iron and nails (reading in the low 80s). Not so much that I can't tell that its iron once I investigate, but enough that it has me stopping to investigate more often than before, which slows me down. I don't use the new Audio Filter feature, because IMHO it enhances falsing and inhibits the depth nuance in pitch tones as I mentioned in a previous post. The high square audio is not for me, and I still don't like full tones. Also, I'm not a fan of the new TID spread.
I understand that 1.0 offers some advantages with the ability to cap the max frequency and other features. Its definitely like a whole new detector... BUT, I was already pretty happy with .71, so if I'm not gaining anything useful to ME, then I don't see the need to fix something that isn't broken.
I’ll sit back and see how it pans out, but for now I’m perfectly happy with .71.
