Well to start off I need to thank jshanks on the forum here. We hunted a few weeks back with another friend of his at the homestead/field site. Well he encouraged me to try curb stripping as I was apprehensive to try. So last night I looked at some maps and used historical aerials as well and picked an area. This area consists of quite a few turn of the century homes. I planned initially to cover a few blocks maybe more but the initial house it’s curb strip was where everything was found most on the initial side I tried. Needless to say I stayed in front of three homes for 4 almost 5 hours.
So here’s the three homes I went in front of.
This house was built in 1899 according to the owner. His curb strip is where I found all coins of importance. Later in the morning he came out to work on some raised beds he was making and gave me permission to do the yard which I will at a later date.
This home is from 1923 they gave me permission to do there yard. It was small found most of the clad there and the Mattel car.

This is the oldest home of the three 1889. The strip was small and owner wasn’t home.
So I have never knocked to get permission yet. But each of these owners came out except the one so I asked and they said yes.
