Hit a beach in Southie yesterday,,, yeah it was cold at 29 degrees not counting that steady 10-15mph wind in my face but what can ya do... stayed till sundown made about 6 passes up and down from walkway to water line and found a nickel, and 6 pennies all so corroded from being in the salty sand for so long I couldn't even tell if they where wheaties or not let alone the dates,, found 1 25cal bulllet which makes the 6th bullet I've found here and about 30 pull tabs. its was good to get out though the sand was frozen at about 3-4" down,, couple dogs came over to tell me I was crazy..
I think I already searched most of this area last season and didn't realize it till I seen the landmark I should of went but I went by the wrong thing this time.
wife said theres something really wrong with me,,,,
also,, an old timer talked with me for a bit and told me a story of a guy in the late 80's or early 90's who was detecting near there and found a duffle bag with two tommy guns completely packed in grease inside that someone buried in the sand,,,, imaging that.....
