Up here in Ohio we had 40 hours straight of rainfall so it's a soggy, soupy mess around here. In fact, my property line on one side of my house is a creek and now part of my front yard is the creek, smh. Between work and the weather I haven't been able to swing much lately.

Somewhat funny story, about two weeks ago I went to one of the parks that I normally hunt just to see if I could sniff something out since the finds are dwindling down. Didn't score anything so I tried my luck on the sidelines of the soccer fields since they're playing games lately and right on the surface I find a 1971 Kennedy half. I thought it was kinda weird to find that since I know for sure it was a fresh drop because I've hunted this particular sideline numerous times, and the fact that it wasn't in the ground at all. The reason I find it weird is that not many people carry halves anymore, not unless it was given to them as change from a carry out or something?

I got out yesterday for a real hunt (more than a couple of hours). Spent 6 hours at a park where I've found two of my three gold rings. Didn't find any jewelry, but got $11.18 in clad which is my best clad day to date. Also found my second cub scout neckerchief slide. That was a pretty cool find. Came in at a solid 70, but sounded big like a can lid and not a dime or copper penny. I lifted the coil and it faded out quicker than a can lid or crushed can so I dug it and was quite surprised. BTW, this is the only site I've been to where I've seen other guys metal detecting. Didn't see anyone else yesterday, but the last time I was there (when I found my 14k FG ring), two other guys got there not long before I left and I went over to talk to one of them. They were both local to this park. I'm not, as I have to drive almost 40 minutes to get there. Obviously they haven't hunted it all that well with all that I've found there.

Been out and about in a few places lately but haven't found much to write home about.
Tomorrow me and PanheadDan and Dr Detroit are going to hunt another park that looks old but none of us have ever hunted before. Hopefully something good will pop up

I'm heading out this morning...I have been so busy getting this house on the market I pretty much missed most of the Spring...even some really sweet tearouts that everybody was working around here...So I'm going out this morning for a hunt...dont know where yet...I'll start in the totters and see where it leads me...Good Luck boys!

I go every chance I get. Went yesterday for 3 hours and just clad. I'm going to Lexington today for a series of meetings this week. Hopefully I can find some places to hunt!

Darktower, since your in the Lexington area, you oughta slide over to Louisville and try your luck over there since there was a lot of money over there yesterday (Kentucky Derby)

I warmed up my ears in a chip totter..very little clad, so I hunted the grass edges and picked up a bit more...then I went into the Big Lake with the AtPro and got some clad and a little silver ring...I see you had a nice hunt with Ice there Bruin! Congrats on that Silver Q!

I went today for a bit.. to many bums at one park so I left. I gotta drive to the outskirts and knock doors.

Got out yesterday at two different sites for about an hour at each. Got almost $3 in clad which puts me over $110 for the year. Also found two wheaties a '45 and '46 at the soccer field where my son practices. In that same area at the soccer field I found a coin spill consisting of a sacajawea dollar, a quarter and a dime. Third Sac for the year.
