Many times on an 80+ VDI signal I will check the target on prospecting mode in order to analize the possibility that the target is iron. If I show a 60% or above that it is iron, I will not dig it if I am looking for coins. Anybody here do the same? In many of my hunt sites i seem to have a lot of rusty iron that gives me sinals in the 80s +. Anyone have any other techniques to handle this type situation?

I noticed this is an old post, but I have ran in to old nails reading into the low 80's. I never thought about changing to the prospect mode and checking it. Good Idea
