Campsite Rosie, wheats and white marble(?)

This was a couple to a few weeks ago now…

Campsite metal detecting. Found the wheats and dang if I didn’t also nab me a other silver coin! Also for a small white marble? No hole through it so dunno.

Was pretty cool. Got a Japanese yen, a “copy” cob, a cool headstamp that came out of the lake, tire/tube valve cover too out of the lake. The shell is a 38 S&W.

Congrats on the shiny and wheat GS. The cob is still a very cool find. I found that same marble last week. Is the Yen silver ? good luck, Mark

if the white marble is glass probably a game marble like chinese checkers, aggravation, etc.. if its clay or china its a potters marble for the poor kids they made from scraps after turning whatever the factory or group did.

Thanks Mark, the yen is copper nickel 75/25 type.

Nice rosie!

I've only found one silver coin, a rosie, while campground hunting, along with a dozen or so wheats. After we set up camp one time, the wife mocked me when the first thing I did was to pull out the detector and start swinging. First target, and right away, was a nice womans silver ring. She mocks no more.

I like to detect camp if there’s any downtime. I’ve found some cool things sometimes - old Boy Scout knife too, but this was the first silver coin from one for me.
