I Met up with my buddy Matt today for another look among the rocks.
My very first signal was a minus 5 on the Nox but there was something else there that got me interested. After about 7 or 8 scoops and removing a few rocks I spotted it and ran over to Matt with it.
Unfortunately the stone is missing but I knew straight away it was 15ct gold .. I have had 5 or 6 from this same area.
It has Birmingham hallmarks dated 1901 on it but more interesting is the stamp 625 (15ct) .. the very first I have seen myself. Weight is 5.1 grams
Then a short while later whilst edging down to the waters edge I got a sweet 18 and two scoops later I spotted more gold, Matt was close by and called him over to retrieve it for me .. another 9ct band.
So another very happy day .. my first double this year!

:dingding: Too bad the center is missing it would've been nice to see the whole ring. Lovely color on that one as well and congrats on the double!

Beautiful gold. I wonder what kind of stone was in there.

Well well well, what do we have here. That is one heck of a ring! I also wish that the stone was there, but it still gold nonetheless. Great job!
