Nice story, I found 100 dollar bill at a super market I worked at in HS, this was just after I started so I wasn't sure of the procedures etc. so I was walking to the office to turn it in to the lost and found or whatever they use for these situations but on my way there a slow guy who worked there ran over and was pretty persistent on taking it over to the office for me so I was like sure whatever anyway shortly after I found out why, if the owners don't claim it in 2 or 3 weeks you get to keep it. He's lucky he was slow.
I'd have been ticked! The company I worked for made us put it into our deposit if it was just $ and not a whole wallet or purse. If someone came to claim it after the deposit was made we'd have to short our next one to "give" it back, kinda slimy procedure if you ask me. We could have at least held it for a week or something first...
