Maybe I'm the only guy on the planet that this is bothering, but I just had to get an answer. Even if that meant saying to hell with it and cleaning the coin. Now keep in mind the costs to send in the wrong date with insurance were prohibitive and if I couldn't get a date then chances were they couldn't either. Any guesses as to the year????

HAhaha! No extremely rare date for you this time! I get lots of wheats that don't want to reveal the year. It is usually the last digit, or the last 2 digits that you can't make out. Good job getting it figured out. :yes:

Yes Foragist. Boiling Hydrogen Peroxide. Does the trick every time. Scrub, it down with a hand brush and toothpick...usually does the job.
