thrown in fire copper knock out from a roof installation.
not a RR flattened penny, unless they were real lucky. they usually deform with both an elongation and a bow.
looks almost like liquid copper dropped on cloth or ground. the low "folds" at the top show some evidence of having been folded or poured. which don't make sense.
that and something so "clean" might suggest it's been chemically or electrically altered. that might help explain those pits OR it was that clean to begin with.
a better, more illuminating picture of the numbers might help.
