Over the years, I found these wheatback pennies with an MD and decided to sort them and place them in a coin book. Here are some photos of my penny collection that has 42 different dates and the book is about half full. Also some photos of duplicate pennies dated before 1940.

You seldom find these pre-1940 pennies in circulation but it is amazing that you can find them in the ground ;)

Please share what you do with your coins and perhaps some photos as well :p

nice collection there, they look cool displayed in that way, im affraid mine just sit in the box, always gonna get round to have some sort of display, but never get round to it, maybe you have spurred me on . to get something started

i dnt have nearly as many as you, but i just started a book myself of strictly dug wheaties. very nice collection you ahve there!

I do similiar to you.
I bought Whitmans book for Wheaties, silver Rosies, silver Washingtons, Buff nickels, Jefferson nickels, V-nickels, IH's, and Barber dimes. Forign coins & tokens are in mylar flips that go into a 3 ring binder.
The rest of the clad gets tumbeled and cashed in at the bank.
I don't have any pics...sorry.
HH :D

I am jealous of that ready books for coins. Wish to have such for my kopecks, but not produced. :(

Here are some photos of my buffalo nickel album with the coins found with a MD. There are 23 nickels and the book is about 25% complete. I think the rarest nickel is the 1931-S.

Two things....

First I put any dates I need into my moms coin collection which I've taken over. Onlly a couple of dug coins have made the grade. The rest go into a 4 lb glass honey jar. I spent last years change, but this year I think it'll be safe. If it gets filled I'll count it up and am thinking of burying it. Perhaps even a treasure map to go with it. Better put it in something other than glass.
That's my plan.

Thats a very cool way to do it. Just think some MD'er in the future might find an awesome Cashe. You should include a little note too.

One coin hunter in Ukraine near my city has already buried one treasure cache. It contains about 1000 of modern ukrainian coins. He posted this information on one of the local forums. The depth is 3 feet. Funny story. Someday someone will find it!

I wish I had photos of my finds over here with me. My wife bought me a curio cabinet to display my finds in. I keep all my relics, silver coins, and any U.S. coin that's not currently being minted in my curio. I know where I've found each and every one of my coins and relics and each has a story to go with it. I keep the wheaties in a jar because there are so many of them and most of them are so far gone due to the soil they were found in. I can remember where I found a few of them due to the date or condition that they're in. My gold finds, I keep in a safe. I don't feel comfortable displaying it with the value of it. I've still got gold that I found 5 years ago but with the price of gold today I'm probably going to sell a good bit of it when I get back to the states. My wife, daughter, and I are going to take a Caribbean cruise on the money I get from it. Anyone want to guess what I'm going to be doing at all the stops? My daughter's birthstone is a diamond so all of my rings with diamonds will have the stones removed for her. I don't mind displaying my other stuff because most people don't know the value of my curio display mainly because it's more sentimental than intrinsic. My clad change gets put into an old gallon pickle jar (after tumbling) and I take it to the local casino where they have a counter. I just don't tell them that I'm NOT going to be spending it in there establishment. LOL. I take the money I've found in a year's time (I think it was about $125 last year) and buy my wife something. It's the least I can do for her for putting up with my filthy hobby.
