Got out today with a club member to hunt one of his spots. We hit it early because of the heat and we had a really good time. When we arrived we could see the evidence that someone else had poached the spot 
but we hunted it anyway. The buckle is marked 980 and rang up as a solid quarter at about 8 inches. The Merc was right in the middle of the poachers plugs and it was just one they missed. I would really like to know what they got out of this old lot. The house was torn down earlier in the week and we had permission to hunt but could not get there until today.
If anyone has an idea about the tag, chime in.
