Semi precious stones would never be set in platinum unless it was a request from a very wealthy customer as a special order.
Trust me, I was in the upscale Jewelry business for many years.
Platinum is for the upper crust types and with large certified diamonds of at least 3/4 carat diamond weight or more.
More then likely it is silver.
Nice find, but I would seriously doubt that it is Platinum.
