still more. The one with the 2 pennies is one I thought was a copper 43 (under the steel one) but turned out to be a severely eaten up 42.

WOW, congrats on all your finds. I love the mercs!

I didn't find that steel penny...its from my coin collection. I have found several that the only way I could tell was the imprint left in the sand...rusted to nothing after over 65 years in the ground. The site I hunt was abandoned in 1945.

Wow awesome!!!I know why you have not posted in the long time ,because you have been to busy recovering all the goodies!!!:lol:Congrats good luck and HH

nice

Very nice old looking finds. I bet that '43 cent made you gasp untill a magnet stuck to it, looks very copper.

The penny on top is a steel cent from my coin collection (not found with detector). The one on bottom is copper and turned out to be a 42 that was severly eaten by corrosion to where it looked like a 43. After carefull cleaning I descovered the 3 didn't match the 3 on the steel cent.

More Catch-up

Here is some stuff I found since my last posts. Notice the 2 walkers...they were a pleasant surprise and I found them just over a week apart.

The ladybug in the 3rd picture actually has a half carat of diamonds in it and 2 small rubies for eyes.
The huge own was found at beach during spring break and is made of brass,
