Went out on a night hunt tonight. It was still 86 degrees, but so much nicer without the sun beating down on me. I wandered downtown and jumped around to different curbstrips. Managed 5 silver coins including a 1943 Australian 3 Pence that's holed and bent concave. Must have been part of a bracelet or something. It was a nice surprise! Pair of Rosies and a pair of Mercs. Had a really nice outing. Got my mind off things. Thanks for looking. My goal of 100 silver coins this year is definitely in sight!

That Ausi coin is cool. Must have been a piece of homemade jewelry, as the holes do not line up. That is one of those "How did that get here?" finds.

That 3 Pence is definitely from a bracelet. Popular from WWll era. I found one with the links and a buddy found three linked together. Awesome hunt. Congrats.

Looks like a great day's worth of finds. I bought and sold one of those "domed coin" bracelets, several years ago. It had coins from Peru. Don't think they were silver, though. Nice find!

Great hunt SW, congrats on the silver. That 3 Pence is a long way from home. And yes 100 fty should be right around the corner. Good luck. Is the ring sterling ? Looks like a nice one. HH Mark

Thanks guys. I wish I knew exactly where I found that 3 pence. With it being dark, I didn't know what i had until i got home. There is probably more links to it out there!

Thanks Mark. The ring is a total junker. Large glass stones and corroding metal.

Nice nite time hunt! Good looking silvers too, I dug a 1945 Mercury Dime once that was curved just like yours, I too thought it may have been part of some sort of jewelry.

Nice finds, the Aussi three pence is different. I concur on it being a link in a bracelet.

Congrats on the large assortment of finds! Those 3 Pence coins must’ve been popular in jewelry back in the day. I’ve seen a few of them in consignment shops in my area. Maybe folks brought them back from the war as trinkets for their ladies? Fingers crossed you hit 100 FTY very soon. I’m sure you’ll far exceed that before the year is over.

Congrats on getting so near your goal! Nice work! Five silver coins plus all those wheats make for a fantastic hunt. :clapping:
