I have a Teknetics Delta 4000 and have noticed that I can be in Descrimination Mode and get an upper range signal (60-80, with iron notched out) and then switch to All Metal Mode and get a different signal (10-30) and the find is usually ferrous. This isn't always the case, most coins will show the same signal. I am running the sensitivity between 8 and 10. It still does the same thing turned down (5). Kind of frustrating when you notch a material or materials out (to coin shoot) and the junk still alerts higher on the scale. Any thoughts or suggestions? If I turn the sensitivity way down, I won't have any depth.

Discrimination is never perfect. You just have to learn your machine and and figure out how it responds to good targets. trashy ground is a pain for ANY detector!
