my ace 150 coil seems to have a loose wire or something cahnged the batteries and the coil will only work in all metal mode.

Roy,

I would contact Garrett and ask them but I think they will want you to ship it back for them... from what I understand they are very good about servicing their detectors.

I agree with Craig. Talk to Garretts and see what they can do to help you out. They are great about their machines. I'm quite sure they will do right by you.

The coil has nothing to do with the mode. Give me a call and maybe I can help.
