Found a delmonico steak restaurant tag? A 1908 v nickel And a nice bottle buried with a small piece of trash. Surprised it was intact.
Then this "what im thinking is" amazing sterling silver suspender clip/buckle. Correct me if that is not what it is. I thought it was a pocket watch chain clip. In the id section I was told suspender buckle.
I love the front of it. The gears. Reminds ME of the industrial revolution!
The front piece is sterling and the back is plated brass that they soldered to it.
I LOVE this PIECE

Very interesting silver suspender clip, or buckle type piece.
Something about it says "Orwell" to me...

Ya you are right. I thought it was pocket watch gears and the piece was a pocket watch chain clip. But it's a suspender/overall clip/buckle.
I was thinking about taking the back off of it and turning it into a pendant. And putting it on a necklace. I think its so nice it should be shown off.

Very nice! Great detail in the buckle. Almost looks like it is in good enough condition to re-purpose. Great silver find....congrats!!

Very cool finds! That suspender clip is awesome - super unique, and wonderful condition. I really like the Delmonico tag too - maybe a hotel key tag? And the little bottle is fantastic - amazing it's intact! Nice hunting!

Awesome piece of metal there..

Worth mentioning though, if those were actually real gears, they couldn't/wouldn't turn, they would all lock each other up..

Still super cool!!

Congrats!!
