Found this at an old site that dates back to the 1840s. Is there any way to identify the maker by the symbols on the handle?

I can tell you that anything earlier than about 1870's is really hard to find.

Silver plated items are tough to ID. I think half the time the hallmarks were just made up to make them appear to be Sterling silver! Seriously, why would you have five hallmarks on a silver plated utensil? Seems like overkill to me.
