friend of mine and her husband have inherited his Grandparents house and are in the process of remodeling it. stopped by to see the house with them the other day and while walking around realized this house is old and might be a nice place to detect. Got to talking to them and the house was built in 1928 so I asked about detecting it and got the go any time you want so now have a pretty nice little place to go that's close to home.
I know theres going to be a lot of junk there also since it was an old farm house but im sure there is something good there somewhere.

Nice going... Hope you get some goodies. Look for any large depressions in the yard that may be the location of an old shade tree, whose roots have now rotted away and sunk. Check that location on the Historic Aerials web site, where some locations have aerial images going back to 1938. Not high-def for sure, but something might jump out at you, like a large tree, barn or other out-building.

Good luck, and report back with your finds...
