First good find!

What is the best way to clean a 1858 flying eagle penny? Any good home remedies? I want to clear it up without ruining it. Thanks in advance. Turn picture sideways.

In current condition, not worth much on the open market I would assume.
I would take a dremmel with a scouring pad on the end and work it.. I have had great success with this method cleaning toasted pennies and hey if I am gonna keep it I want it to look it's best.. doesn't seem to scratch it and gives it a nice look.. and if you must.. clean it and then rebury it for a year to give it that "Authentic" look
