I was swinging in a local park when I found a teenagers wallet. The detector rang out because the wallet was filled with clad. I took it to the local police station and turned it in ( along with all the coins) . His drivers licence was in it so he should get it back.

That was good of you to return the wallet. Many would not have. That helps to give us all a good name.

Nice job! That'll defintely help the PR image.

I found a wallet at our fairgrounds after a big party had $120 in it. Look the dude up and was a 19 year old kid.He gave me a short TY and closed the door

Oh well Booker........Even if he didn't have the curtousy to be appreciative, at least you can feel good about your part of it. Maybe it was his drug money, and he needed a fix in a hurry.

 might have--- I was happy all that matter. I am suppose to get out and walk alot and I find lots of stuff. I found a paycheck near this Wendys we have here and it was dated the day before I found it. The check was for $460 and some odd pennies and turned it into the manager. No thank you ,kiss my butt or anything  Oh well if been my check would have been hugs and kisses

Great job Wayne. You have done a great job of representing our hobby. Don't worry about losing the change in the wallet, it will be returned to you ten fold.

And Booker, you also did the right thing. I don't know why some people are so rude. It doesn't mean we have to be,though. You're a good example for our hobby.

Thank you, I was fine with it, I beleave in what goes around comes around so if I had kept either one no telling then what I would have lost

That's very honorable of you. Good job. Back when my wife and I were dating, we started to get onto a freeway and I noticed we had just passed a purse on the entrance ramp. I had her stop and backup to it. It belonged to an asian lady. It had $270 in cash in it, more credit cards than I had ever seen in my life(about 25), her i.d. and everything. We went home and called the police. They sent a cruiser out to pick it up and he was amazed that the cash was in there. He said most people would claim it didn't have any cash. I said "Well, it's not mine to take." Hopefully the officer was as honest. We found out that she had left it on top of her friends car as she was getting in the car at the mall (right beside the entrance ramp). We were glad to have been able to put her worries to rest.

Great stories! I love reading stuff like this.

Way to go. Honesty and integrity are always the best policy.

It is funny when you turn something in to the person who lost it, and they look at you like you're nuts.

Recently, my wife and I were behind an elderly gentleman in the store. He pulled out a wad of cash to pay for his items and dropped a $20 on the floor.
I noticed the $20 when he turned to leave. After I bent down to pick it up, I gave it back to him sayin, "Sir, I think you dropped this." He just said, "Yea, it's mine." and grabbed it out of my hand.

I don't know, maybe he had had a bad day to that point. Or, maybe he was embarrassed about dropping it. Whether someone shows appreciation or not, it is still their money. So, we do well to show kindness. Our world sure needs a lot more of that.
