Found this today in a curb strip in a very old part of town. It was down about 6 inches. It looks like it had been nailed up somewhere. A lot of the nail head is still on the front. I knocked what was left of the nail out of the hole. I can make out the number 10 and some sort of wave pattern around the edge on both sides. There is also what looks to be a leaf/flower or feathered star type pattern radiating from the center on the back. Can't seem to find anything on the net about it so I'm putting it out there for you sages to figure out. It's about the same size as a Kennedy Half. it's not as thick as a Kennedy Half, but has some weight to it. I'm almost certain it is copper. I scratched it on the back digging it up and although it doesn't show up well in the photo, it looks to be copper. I can find no writing on it at all. Thanks in advance.

After soaking it in Tabasco Sauce for a couple hours this is what has come out. On the back I found clockwise Clubs, Diamonds, Spades, Hearts. I'm sure this is copper and it may be an old Poker chip. Coolest find so far. Anyone seen one of these before?? Still can't find anything on the web about this. Couple more pics for you.

I did a quick google image search as vintage gaming tokens. Saw several different metal casino chips most from Vegas. Could it be yours came from a place in your area? Apparently these things are collectable since most places have gone paper now. Hope that helps some.

I have no idea what was here a long time back. I know that gaming here was illegal for a long time until the reservation casinos popped up. This is a port town so I'm sure a lot of illegal entertainment was available for those folks looking for some fun and a good time. As far as I'm concerned it a great find and it's my best find so far after my silver of course. Very unique, can't find anything like it on the net.

Looks like a .22 cal hole. Is that hole smooth on one side and rough on the other? Looks like someone pulled off a trick shot and shot this out of the air.

Maybe...he was a card cheat and shot in the chest with the token in his shirt pocket. You never know....but that is one really cool find!
