Sunday I decided to change hunting strategies and try something different from the old farm sites and fields. I had about two hours to kill on Sunday afternoon so I went to the local Elementary school. This site has been hunted many times and I wasn't really expecting to find much. I decided to start on a side area a few yards away from the gym. This school dates back to the 1940s so I thought who knows ... I might find a bit of silver. The first signal that I dug turned out to be a child's ring with a stone. The next couple of signals were clad coins and then a child's love ring. A few minutes later ... my third ring of the afternoon. It was a pretty fun couple of hours (except no silver) with the following finds: 1 wheat cent (1941), 4 quarters, 9 dimes, 3 nickles, 14 memorial cents, and 3 rings.
