Hi! I found this huge heavy copper ring deep in the woods at a cellar hole and I'm curious if anyone can help me determine its age. I'm not sure if someone knows anything about it's design, or when they were made like this roughly - but any comments are appreciated! It appears to be an enamel face set into feel copper. It has a stamp on the inside that just appears to say '8' Thanks!

The scroll work on the side feels Victorian.
Also most probable that this ring was plated in either gold or silver when new.

Technical tidbit:
The '8' is not stamped but rather CAST into the ring.

I am seeing '181'. Being it is cast this could simply be a model number.

Interesting ring that does seem old. If it was gold plated then I would guess that it has been in the ground for 100 years to be in that condition.

Thanks! I appreciate the response (sorry for my delayed reaction). No hard feelings on the technical corrections, I'm here to learn!
