Yep, just keep searching known period houses or places. Sooner or later you will get one. I found my first (1898) back in January of this year about 3 inches down (in the back alleyway of a 1920's house). One of my favorite coins to find! I found this one in a harvested wheat field yesterday. When I came home the wife asked if I found in anything interesting today and I replied yes. A penny that was minted the year she was born she looked at it and said hey this says 1865 not 1965 she was not amused
