I haven't posted on this forum much over the past few years, but I had to share this with you. I live in a small town in Eastern North Carolina. In fact the town I live near was named after George Washington.
This past weekend, my buddies and I hit new permission that once had a few houses back in the early 1900's. It is now a soybean field that was just harvested.. I had suspected that there was something much older in that field after finding a gold cufflink, Seated Dime, and a Large Cent last week.
Lots of brick, pottery & iron everywhere. I spent a few hours working through the heavy iron not finding much except a V Nickel. Then I got a very deep scratchy signal with the Equinox 800. I dug out the plug about 6 inches and the signal locked in on a 19. Finally at about the 10-12 inch mark pulled out the find of a lifetime for me. A George Washington Inaugural Button. It's been rolled around for many years, but I'm so excited to have it.
Thanks for checking out my post.. GL, HH, and as always.. DIG ON!
