I managed to get about three hours in today and I have one, short, monosyllabic word to describe those 180 minutes: WOW.
I hunted part of a city park horse/bike/walking trail and, although I found nothing of real value, I learned a ton about my new little Yeller Feller. He and I will get along just fine, I can tell.
My finds?
6 corroded shotgun shells (brass only)
1 .22 rimfire case
1 solid lead pistol bullet
Coupla cans & short pieces of wire.
Now I KNOW why we shouldn't mess around with the el cheapo detectors!
