Howdy diggers,
I found an elementary school that probably dates to the late 50's and it doesn't appear to have been hunted before. I was getting many coin signals every couple feet. I found 2 rings. One is 10KT with about 18 little teeny tiny diamond chips and the other is a large (15.3 grams) men's ring that is 14KT GE (perhaps over silver??). I made a video for youtube:

My question to the forum is what type of base metal do they usually use for gold plated rings??

Here's a pic or two. Thanks and HH!
