this is just part of my 350 pindoll collection, a strange one for a bloke i suppose, but i kinda like em.
the last picture is a german pindoll i dug from a tip 20 odd years ago, which was the one that got me started on my great crusade,
sadly it was broken with an arm missing, has it been perfect,it would have been around the 500 pound mark.

the holes u see at the bottom ,thats where the fabric was stitched to, normaly in the shape of a dress. and this fabric was used to hold pins, when sewing /dress making etc, hence pindoll, they were mass produced in the 1920s, with the german ones being the most sought after. (as ever )
the most prized ones are the dolls with (arms away_) which had to be made in two pieces. where the arms leave the body , and then return to the hips, are the next grade down , but still sought after, some folk call them half dolls or half pindolls,,,the very far left picture gives you an example of the fabric attached
