Found this yesterday at a home site and was wondering if it is an Enfield bullet. Looking at the bottom of the bullet, it appears to have a double jacket which I've never seen before, but I know nothing about bullets so am just guessing.
Measurement were made with a tape measure(don't have calipers) so just approx.

WT: 584 gn
1.125" long
0.5" OD
0.25 ID

If I found it myself, I would probably call it an Enfield. McKey and Mason show a 54 cal that is 1.363 long and beside it one that is 1.236 long. I can't find a base that matches yours, but being that the bullet is fired anything can happen. But if I am wrong, it would not be the first time.

With the length adjustment, what Duggap said. 🙂
