Hit a new area on a whim and found the remains of a pocket watch. No front or back unfortunately.
I plan to take this apart and try to clean using electrolysis to identify it. I'll provide pictures after cleanup is completed should they offer new insights.
I was able to clean this up quite a bit with electrolysis, however it did not help in identifying a manufacturer or date. For now it'll just live in my "treasure bin" with the other oddities that have very little real value but remind me of the hunt and the history.
I know, having that would be a huge improvement to this find. I covered the area 4 times looking for another hit of any kind and came up empty. I'll head back once things dry up a bit and I have my Nox 800 in hand to see if I can find anything else. This weekend has finally nearly arrived. I am stoked to upgrade from my F2 to a Nox 800.
