I hit an old lake that dried up, and right near it used to be a british camp in the war of 1812. I managed to get a 1936 mercury dime, dateless slaughtered indian head penny, and an 1837 hard times token large cent, which I thought was a matron head largie at first. its not worth much but is a nice little piece of history! probably never dig another one again!

Kaz, interesting finds.

Do you hunt this place often?

This could really be a good place for older coins.

Keep us posted on the finds.
