Rain started in this morning, as minor sprinkles, but starting around 1 pm rain became increasingly heavier and pretty gusty associated winds. Rain gauge reads a bit over 2 inches. The two outer bands have now joined over central Arkansas...the highest winds and heaviest winds are expected in the Kingdom around 5 this afternoon CST. So far, a lot of power outages in south Arkansas, and some minor flooding, but not yet even a power flicker near the Castle.:D:D

Tho standing on ready, KT is beginning to have some optimism that we will have much needed rain, but no significant damage on the Castle grounds. We do have a few dead oak trees on the grounds and when the wind dies out tomorrow afternoon, His Majesty will inspect the premises for any dropped limbs or broken out tops that might be used for firewood!:yes:

Looks like you got that power generator just in time KT !

.....but hopefully you won't need to use it or have any serious damage in your area !

Thanks, GKL! The storm center moved slightly east of the Realm of the Castle, and thus we had some wind gusts up to 47 mph, some sporadic, but at times heavy rain...no lightning...it was all over here by 7:00 pm. Some light sprinkles over night...total of slightly over 2.5 inches of rain in the Royal Rain Guage.

Two tornadoes did hit in eastern Arkansas, spin ups off a strong squall line, but no people hurt or injured.

So no power flickers, much less power outages here locally. Several thousand folks without power in south Arkansas, and several hundred in our county, but the south portion of the county.

Also, a health up date on ye olde King.....visited His Royal Doctor on Tuesday. Got a call with the results...all blood tests in normal ranges, and A1C is at 6.3, down from 6.7 3 months ago. So all is well with His Majesty!

Very glad to hear an all around good report about both your local area and yourself KT !!!!

That rain should help make for easier detecting and digging if you do get a low chair to make digging easier with your knees !
