Hi everyone,
Over my last few digging sessions I've noticed an issue with my Garrett Pro-Pointer AT. Long story short, it seems to be acting differently depending on its alignment when powered on. Naturally, the tip is pointed towards the ground most of the time when I switch it on. Once it's on, though, it frequently starts false signalling if the tip is pointed towards the sky. If the tip is pointed skyward when switched on, though, the issue goes away, but then I wonder if it's properly detecting in the hole.
Have any of you encountered an issue like this with your pinpointers? Suppose a tune-up from the factory is in order?
