I get why the guy might want to be secretive about this site, but until he post pics of actual dig going on and the detector he built for this I don't believe it. He mentions setting up camp before he actually has permission from the land owners. Does not make a lot of sense. Why no pictures? Not even any of the 2,100 pounds of trash. In a low oxygen environment wooden items can 100% survive for even thousands of years. The Mississippi has changed course and boat wrecks are now buried in relic channels in the middle of wooded swamps and farm fields. Something like this is totally possible. I just won't believe it until I see some pics.
