Found in a football field - What Are They???

Ok, it's been a while for me to see if this was solved.

How about embossing dies that are interchangeable within the jaws of a handheld embosser. The bottom jaw would hold the die, and the top being somewhat blank, which would not need reverse print. Could be used on leather, paper, etc ??? Maybe part of a set of these is what you found.
 
guessing that the guys suggesting stamps or dies are on the right track.

they might be wax stamps... I did a search for Victorian wax stamps and it came up with several similar

As I said at the start of the thread, my guess is they are game pieces. Seems more logical since they were found in a football field where they were probably lost by some little kids. :lol:

In any event, I thought the guy who started the original thread pronounced a winner long ago, but it still took several years and loads of effort before that happened, and one of the hardest challenges ever put forth ! :mad:

In the game of Monopoly they had like a car, Shoe a hat . Could they be some kind of a game markers to show position on a board game. Not sure just giving an idea
