Buckle date?

Anybody have any idea of age on this buckle? It was dug from an old home site. Site has been on the map since 1890s. I’ve found items from the 1850-60s here as well, so is that a safe date for this buckle or could it be earlier?

I believe that would be a knee buckle. Not positive on the age but I would assume mid 1800's at the latest? Here's an example of its use:
