Winter is coming! First decent storm in a while hit our coast whipping up waves in the 20’ range. The local beaches eroded just enough to tease out some targets again. Hard hunting, but persistence payed off for a few diggers. My night was mediocre so far, 26 coins in several hours of hunting, 10pm, feeling petered-out and ready to snag a burger on the way home. One more trashy signal on the nox, a broken up 4-6 “okay, a piece of can-slaw for the road” nope! A panty-dropper of a gold necklace. 6.1 grams of 14K gold with 1carat total weight in loupe-clean diamonds. Had a beer on the beach and called it a night. ‘Til the next storm.
