I was thinking of safe ways to store and transport my pinpointer (most expensive thing i've bought so far) and came up with this pool noodle/tool tote idea.

Just a couple of cuts on one of the bigger diameter noodles gives you a nicely padded sheaf.

It is held in place with adhesive velcro.

The tote came from Farm & Fleet and was on sale for under $10.

Keeps things together and handy in the back of the car.

Here's an update on this tray....
I had to beef up the handle by drilling thru the plastic under each end of the aluminum handle and run a bolt thru those new holes.
now it takes my full weight easily when i push on it for help getting up after kneeling down.

I have the same type of setup for my PP, Lesche, headphones, gloves and, containers.

Cool.
