Silver From The Carnival Ground

I spent two and a half hours at a field that was used for carnivals in the 1950's. Today's finds were 31 clad coins worth $4.43 plus a 1962-P silver Roosevelt Dime, my fourth silver coin from this site this year. Past hunts here produced an Indian Head and a Large Cent.

I think the green thing is a "Bey-Blade" top. I have found a few myself. My son used to play with them a few years back.

Looks like a top except modern, I saw one today in the park.

It's basically a top that you use to "fight" with an opponent. There are tons of styles and arenas that you can do combat in.

Thanks.....fewer and fewer spots like this around nowadays. Some of the various town's carnival sites I remember from when I was a kid are gone due to being built on.

Yup, I used to go to a carnival every year in Smithfield, RI. They turned the area into a condo complex about 25 years ago! Annoys me every time I drive by that spot! LOL!
