Try an army surplus store.

I've checked Amazon ....and don't have any surplus stores near me ....what I need is some one with first hand experience with a pack I'm after ! but thanks for you're help anyway. Pete

On the subject I bought this one in the spring from Walmart.

I've taken it with me on just about every hunt this season. I am very pleased with it overall. I bought some straps and used the MOLLE system on the back to attach my Simplex when I went out on the mountain bike. I can easily fit my 11-12 inch coils in it. Seems very well made for the price and was an in store item so I could check it out before I bought it. I figure if I get a couple of seasons out of it before something gives I'll be happy and replace it. So far it is doing great.

Diabolik ....nice pack and better price......good to here you can strap the Simplex on the back and motor on ! ......
i figured out how to put the 11 inch stock coil and the smaller 5x9 ...both with lower shafts in my Sog pack and the control box too ....in back of the compression flap and against the pack .....works perfect.....but for now only carrying the 9x5 .................Pete

I just happen to be looking for a pack to hold my Nox and some gear for trips to far out sites, being a hiker also I have some nice packs but they are not meant to carry detectors.
While searching I stumbled upon Guitar center and they sell packs that are for different kinds of guitars and look to be perfect for carrying a detector.

A bonus is you may be mistaken for a guitar player....... :giggle:
