I had another good day out, spent about 3 hours today and got good and muddy but came home with a handful of goodies. I lucked out and got a nice old sterling silver ring, a tombac nickel and a large cent today, plus a neat kid's cowboy buckle that unfortunately took a hard hit sometime in the past.

My new X5 goes deep, it took me a while to get it manually ground balanced and I wasn't 100% sure I had it quite right but I'll get comfortable with it with practice. It sure hit some deep targets today so I must have had it pretty close. Hmmm, my sov is getting dusty....
;)

HH all.

Interesting looking ring Scott :) Guess you're still not hunting in water?

Nice scott. Those Canadian one cents sure do hold up good where you are.

Nope, the lakes are still frozen up here Craig. However, I'm off to Vancouver this weekend for a short holiday and I'm taking the X5 along. I'm looking forward to trying it out on those saltwater beaches. I may toss the sov in too just in case.
Can't wait...beach hunting!

:)

Some nice finds Scott, love the ring.

Hey Scott which coil are you using on the X5? I here alot of good things about the smaller coil> getting good depth
